Peer support occurs when people provide knowledge, experience, emotional, social or practical help to each other. It commonly refers to an initiative consisting of trained supporters, and can take a number of forms such as peer mentoring, reflective listening, or counseling.

As a person seeking mental health services you want to find a provider who is attuned with your experiences. One who understands the struggles and can connect on a deeper level than a provider outside of the entertainment and performance industries. Receiving peer support from another artist allows you to get deeper into the heart of things without having to explain the life of an artist.

Our one on one coaching is a way to set goals, gain tools & skills, and receive resources for further mental health services. The THRIVE team will practice reflective listening, motivational interviewing, and a number of other tools to allow you to express yourself openly and honestly.
